Purity Is Our Legacy
Our History
Crystal Geyser® Water Company was founded in 1977 in California. For 40 years, we’ve stayed true to our commitment to purity, quality and time-honored traditions. Proudly sourced and bottled in the USA, our mission is clear: to provide your family with the best tasting sparkling water.
Purity, Perfected
Why is Crystal Geyser Sparkling Water the best sparkling water in the world? Our founders spent more than a year painstakingly studying geological survey maps, exploring water sources, and performing countless taste tests before finding what they believe is the perfect water. Our highest priority is to preserve and maintain our water’s refreshing, natural character.
Our Purpose
Since our founding, we’ve offered a variety of healthy alternatives to sodas and artificially sweetened drinks. And while sparkling water is the core of our business, it’s not the only reason we’re here. We believe life is about celebrating everyday moments with the ones we love, every single day. And what’s more celebratory than bubbles?

What's the difference between Mineral, Spring and Purified Water?
Bottled water is defined and regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and supported by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) for water bottlers and sources within the state of California. The primary water definitions include mineral, spring, and purified.
Mineral Water
Mineral water originates from a geologically and physically protected underground water source, flows to the surface unaided or is pumped, and naturally contains at least 250 parts per million (ppm) of total dissolved solids (TDS). The minerals in Crystal Geyser® Sparkling Mineral Water are naturally occurring.
Spring Water
Spring water also originates from a protected underground formation, but must flow to the surface of the earth unaided. Spring water may naturally contain minerals, but only meets the definition of mineral water if it contains at least 250 TDS. Crystal Geyser® Sparkling Spring water is primarily sourced from natural springs in Napa and Sonoma, the heart of California’s wine country.
Purified Water
Purified water can come from any source since it is the processing of removing impurities that makes it purified water. It can lack the beneficial minerals naturally found in spring and mineral water.
Caring For Our Future
All of our operations are located in California. Our employees live here, the majority of our products are sold and distributed here, and most of our customers live here. We have a vested interest in helping to preserve California’s natural resources, ensuring they are sustainable and available for us all to enjoy for years to come.
Corporate Responsibility
Sustainability
We are passionate about protecting our water sources now and for future generations. Guided by our founding principles, we continue to employ sustainable business practices and do everything we can to minimize the environmental impact on our community and the planet. In 2019, we partnered with Pacific Forest Trust to create Springs for Life: A ForestWater Alliance.

Crystal Geyser’s PET bottles are BPA-free, phthalate-free, and 100% recyclable. PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is a safe packaging material, and our PET bottles help to reduce our environmental impact because they are lightweight and require less energy to transport than heavier materials. PET bottles are accepted at virtually every recycling center.
Learn MoreTransparency
Consumers are increasingly interested in learning from where and how their food and beverages are sourced. We take pride that our all our Crystal Geyser sparkling waters are made from water sourced from natural springs, Kosher, and the flavors are Non-GMO (not genetically modified).
